Kick off your weekend with Founder’s Day Celebration in Surprise, where you can dive into the city’s rich history with local music, food, games, and community fun. Then, head to FREE Peoria Movie in the Park for an evening under the stars featuring Moana 2, plus a kids’ dance party, food trucks, and games for all ages, or check out Spring Serenade in Paloma Community Park. 

During the week, get your hands dirty at the Grow Your Own Food class in Surprise, where you'll get insider tips on desert gardening, or learn how to care for your car at the Basic Automotive & Car Care workshop at the Peoria Main Library. If you're in the mood for creativity, join the Flower Bar BYOB at Hummingbird Inspirations in Surprise and take home a custom floral arrangement. Ready to unwind? Head to Founders Day for a free, family-friendly celebration. It’s going to be a week packed with fun, learning, and creativity!

🌸 Cherry Blossom Paper Lanterns

Celebrate cherry blossom season with a creative craft at Velma Teague Library! From April 1-30, teens ages 12-18 can stop by the Teen Area anytime to make their own paper lantern adorned with delicate paper cherry blossoms. All materials are provided, so drop in and create a beautiful lantern to bring a touch of spring into your home. Learn more at the Glendale Public Library website.

💡 BioLight Recalibration: Heal with Biophotons & Halotherapy

Restore your energy and recalibrate your body with BioLight Recalibration at West Valley Wellness Center on Wednesday from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM. 🎶 LIVE at Asante – Free Outdoor Concert & Art

Enjoy an evening of live music under the stars at Asante Library on Thursday, April 3, from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM! This free outdoor performance series features opener Eden Cislo and headliner High Horse, plus a special art activity hosted by the West Valley Arts Council. Bring your lawn chairs, family, and friends for a relaxed night of music, creativity, and delicious eats from on-site food trucks. RSVP recommended.

🎶 Live Blues Music with Bluesman!

Join us at Sage and Sand Bar & Grill in Glendale on Thursday, April 3, 2025, from 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM for an evening of live blues music featuring Bluesman. Enjoy great tunes, delicious food, and a lively atmosphere. No cover charge. For more details, visit the Sage and Sand events page.


🎪Glendale Community College Charity Carnival

Join the fun at the Glendale Community College Charity Carnival, running until April 6 at 6000 W Olive Ave! Enjoy exciting rides, games, and food for the whole family. The carnival is open Thursdays and Fridays from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM, and weekends from 4:00 PM to 11:00 PM. 📖 To Inhabit Another Voice (Persona & Personification): Poetry Workshop

Celebrate National Poetry Month with a hands-on poetry workshop at Foothills Library on Thursday, April 3, 2025, from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM. Led by poet, teaching artist, and rapper Sean Avery, this session explores persona and personification techniques to help poets inhabit different voices in their writing. 🎶 Live Music at AJ’s Fine Foods

Get ready for a night of music, food, and fun as The Village at Arrowhead brings back its Live Music Series, every Friday in April! Join Come Back Buddy for a celebration outside AJ’s Fine Foods (20050 N 67th Ave, Glendale) for an evening filled with great tunes, dancing, and delicious AJ’s food from 6-8. 🎭 Truce at Stage Left Productions

Join us for Truce, a heartwarming play at Stage Left Productions in Glendale, running from April 4–27, 2025. Hank wants a peaceful Christmas, but his chaotic family has other plans. With his estranged daughter returning after 20 years, a son with a troubled past, and a partner feeling overlooked, Hank's dream holiday is in jeopardy. 🚒 Fire First Friday Community Safety Class

Learn life-saving skills at the Surprise Fire-Medical Department class on Friday, April 4, at 9 AM, 1 PM and 4 PM at the Public Safety Building Auditorium. This non-certifying class covers CPR basics, AED use, and rescue breathing in a relaxed environment. Open to ages 12+ with pre-registration required. Space is limited to 40 participants. 🌸 $25 Flower Bar BYOB!

Join Hummingbird Inspirations 10 on Friday, April 5, 2025, at 7:00 PM for a fun Flower Bar BYOB event! For just $25, you’ll create a beautiful flower arrangement to take home with expert guidance.
